Cold and Flu Medicine Sold at Huge Idaho Retailer Recalled Due to “Contamination”
If you traveled over the holiday season or you left your house and felt the cold Idaho air in your lungs, there’s a chance you might have caught a cold or flu bug. That’s just one of the everyday chances you take when you visit friends and family or leave your house.
If you did pick up a bug and have been using cold and flu medicine to fight the symptoms, you need to see this recall and check your medicine closet as soon as possible.
Some medicines sold at Costco under the Kirkland brand have been recalled due to possible ‘foreign material contamination’. The recall doesn’t affect all medicines sold at the store; only a specific batch that was sold between October 30th and November 30th, 2024.
Do You Get Your Cold Medicine From Costco? You Need to See This Recall ASAP
The boxes of medicine in the recall are the Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion coated caplets with item number 1729556 and lot code P140082 marked on the box. The lot code can be found on the side of the box above the bar code and Drug Facts (continued).
The recall, which was also sent out to Costco members who may have purchased the medicine, tells consumers to ‘not use any remaining product’ and to return the item to Costco for a full refund.
H/T to Rob at TheFW for the national alert.
