I'm not an expert on small towns. I grew up in Salt Lake City, went to college in Kansas City, then moved to Las Vegas before moving to Idaho.

Now I live in 'tiny' Twin Falls, but even this town isn't really a small town. The population of Twin Falls is about 55 thousand and over 110K if you include the metropolitan area population.

To come up with the list of the most expensive small towns, we only included cities and towns with a population between 5,000 and 25,000. Even then, it's a small town with a population closer to 10,000 that comes in as the most expensive.
