Police Looking for This Vehicle That Illegally Passed a Stopped Idaho School Bus
Law enforcement officers are constantly encountering cases of drivers running past stopped school buses with red lights flashing and the stop arm out. It’s a dangerous dance that happens with school buses everywhere.
School has only been in session for one month now, and police in Twin Falls have posted multiple instances of school bus stop arm violations. One of the first was shared on social media, where the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office asked for help in identifying a truck that had dangerously sped past a stopped school bus. Not long after, the driver was located.
This week, the TFCSO shared a video showing another vehicle speeding by a stopped school bus a full 10 seconds after the lights started flashing while kids were loading onto the bus. The vehicle was identified as a Hyundai passenger car (probably a darker color and older model) with no visible plates and possibly a temporary tag in the window, making it hard for police to identify with public records.
Check out the video below, and if you are having trouble seeing it, you can watch it on the original site.
The incident happened on 3650 E at 3900 N (Addison Ave) east of the City of Twin Falls.
The Twin Falls Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying the vehicle and driver.

Failure to stop when a school bus has stopped, with red lights flashing, and the stop arm extended, is a serious danger to children and illegal, and first-time offenders could be hit with a $300 fine. Granted, there are exceptions depending on the number of lanes on the road and the direction you are traveling.
