1 Semi Truck Rolled Over on Idaho Highway and Another Hanging From a Bridge Today

The Idaho Transportation Department has shared information on 2 accidents today on I-84 in Southern Idaho affecting traffic. One is a semi-truck rollover accident and the other is a semi-truck that is hanging over the edge of an overpass on the highway.

Semi Crashes On Overpass in Southern Idaho: Truck and Trailer Hanging Over the Edge

There isn't much information on the Idaho 511 app about the accident near Declo, but ITD has shared information and pictures on their social media pages. They say the crash has closed the eastbound lanes of I84 at the exit for Declo, exit 216. Idaho 511 says the lanes of SH77 (the overpass) are blocked heading westbound and southbound on SH25. KMVT says SH81 is being used as a detour. The semi-truck will be removed by a crane and traffic will be affected until then.

Semi-Truck Rollover on I84 in southern Idaho

A separate accident involving a semi-truck is being reported by ITD on I84 at exit 64, south of Boise. The crash is impeding traffic in the right lane heading eastbound.

Since we haven't received a police report on the incidents, we don't know the extent of any injuries or the causes of the crashes. The driver of the truck on the bridge was taken to a hospital by air ambulance. We'll update this story as we get info. Caution is advised in the areas of the accidents and alternate routes are recommended.
