Northern Idaho Injury Crash is Now a Fatality Crash

Idaho State Police have updated the public on an accident that occurred on August 7th in Idaho County. The driver of the motorcycle passed away on August 16th, 9 days after the accident.

Canadian Motorcycle Driver Killed in Tragic Idaho Accident

ORIGINAL STORY: Idaho State Police have responded to a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle in Idaho County on US12 at milepost 170. The accident happened on August 7th around 3 PM. The police blog reports:

The motorcyclist, a 58-year-old male from Sherwood Park, Alberta, was traveling eastbound on US12 when he lost control while crossing a bridge. The motorcycle rolled and the rider was thrown from the bike. The rider was transported to an area hospital. The rider was wearing a helmet at the time of crash.

ISP is investigating the accident.

Idaho Falls Driver Injured In Motorcycle Accident

The Idaho State Police are also investigating a motorcycle accident out of Bonneville County, on August 18th on eastbound US26 near Swan Valley.

A 51-year-old male from Idaho Falls, was driving a Honda VT1100 eastbound on US26 when he drove off the right shoulder, over corrected and the vehicle overturned.
The driver was taken via air ambulance to a local hospital.
The roadway was blocked for an hour in both directions to allow emergency personnel to clear the scene.

The accident is under investigation by ISP.

Single-Vehicle Accident in Boundary County, Idaho

On August 20th, ISP troopers responded to an accident on Highway 50 near milepost 492. The accident happened around 9:20 AM:

The driver of a Saturn Sedan was traveling southbound on US 95 when it drove off the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned, coming to rest on its top. The sedan was occupied by a 63-year-old male, from Washington. He was wearing his seatbelt and was transported to a nearby hospital via ground ambulance. This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
