YOUR DOG KNOWS WHAT YOU’RE THINKING
According to a recent study, dogs can read minds. Seriously.
Researchers from the University of Florida found that dogs may have an innate ability to sense our mental states.
The dogs in the study had to choose between begging for food from a person who was paying attention to them or someone who ignored them. Amazingly, they often picked the person who was giving out "good vibes."
HOW COMMON IS INFIDELITY
It's difficult to get solid, scientific information about people cheating on their spouses and having affairs. This is the sort of stuff that people tend to keep very private.
But, according to researchers at the University of Texas, an affair takes place within 40 to 76 percent of marriages.
Because the stats are so tough to pin down, you could probably say that roughly half of all married couples remain monogamous -- while the other half will have one of the partners stepping out.
SOME NEW SOCIAL NETWORK STATS
A new survey from Microsoft has found that 74 percent of people are worried about having their Facebook account hacked.
Other results ...
- 50 percent of respondents said they spend close to five hours on the Internet daily.
- Connecting with people online is the most popular activity, with 40 percent of people spending this time on social networking sites.
- Other activities included research (35 percent) and entertainment (22 percent).
