OBSESSED WITH HEALTHY EATING

Everybody knows about anorexia and bulimia. There's now a new disorder to worry about -- orthorexia.

Orthorexia nervosa is a condition in which people become obsessed with eating the "right" kinds of foods and it causes people to obsess over what they're eating, how much they're eating, and how the food is being prepared.

Some problems that arise from orthorexia include not being able to enjoy certain social activities, becoming depressed or always feeling guilty -- especially if you happen eat something that isn't "healthy."

WOMEN SPEND A YEAR OF THEIR LIVES DECIDING WHAT TO WEAR

According to a new British survey, women spend nearly one year of their lives deciding what to wear. Which means, guys theoretically spend one year of their lives waiting for women to get ready.

After choosing outfits for work, nights out, dinner parties, vacations, the gym and other activities, the average woman burns through 287 days of her life.

The biggest chunk of that time is used up picking out clothes for Friday and Saturday nights out and selecting the right clothes for vacations.

GET PAID TO NOT GO TO COLLEGE

While plenty of families scratch and save for years in hopes of sending their kids to college, a successful entrepreneur is offering $100,000 fellowships for kids to NOT go to college.

Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal and one of the first investors in Facebook, is giving $100,000 fellowships to 24 people under the age of 20. All they have to do is drop out of school for two years to start their own companies.

Some of the recipients are leaving big-time institutions like Harvard and Stanford to take the deal.

Thiel is doing this because he believes we've hit a "higher education bubble."

"A true bubble is when something is overvalued and intensely believed," he said. "Education may be the only thing people still believe in the United States. To question education is really dangerous. It is the absolute taboo."

He went on to point out that students today are taking on more debt, which makes college a risky investment.

"If you get this wrong, it's actually a mistake that's hard to undo for the rest of your life," he said.

PEOPLE ARE WASTING BIG MONEY ON HEALTH SUPPLIMENTS

According to a government report out of Great Britain, many people are wasting a lot of money on vitamin pills and other health supplements that do them no good.

The researchers behind the report say the widely perceived benefits of certain supplements just don't have enough evidence to support them.

The biggest culprits are weight loss products, vitamin supplements and antioxidants. People are putting too much hope in products that still require far more testing.
