I’m a huge fan of reality TV competition shows where you get to see regular people compete for money doing challenges and tasks that look tough, but you believe you could also do. My wife, on the other hand, is a fan of regular reality TV where you just watch famous people acting like they have a tough life.

Popular Reality Shows that Idaho Would Easily Dominate

Idaho is no stranger to reality TV. There have been multiple contestants and winners on various reality shows in recent years. On my favorite reality show, Survivor, an Idaho contestant won as sole survivor after an exciting season that involved 3 tribes of contestants. Another Idahoan, Clay Hayes, was also a recent winner of the grueling reality show ‘Alone’ and there were 2 Idaho contestants in the most recent season.

It’s obvious that Idaho knows how to survive on these shows, but there are other types of reality TV shows where Idahoans would also shine and easily win.

Popular Reality Shows Idahoans Would Definitely Win

For the list, we decided to only look at current popular reality shows, but there are some old shows where we would have been awesome too. Many Idahoans would have dominated on Fear Factor since the state is full of fearless adrenaline junkies jumping from the Perrine Bridge and climbing our highest mountains.

An average Idahoan would have also been pretty entertaining on an episode of Wife Swap. Idahoans can be rather opinionated and if swapped with the right (or wrong) spouse, that would have been an episode for the history books.
