The Idaho State Police have updated the status of the pedestrian from Utah who was hit by a car in Twin Falls.

The accident happened a few weeks ago, on November 14th, a few minutes before 9 PM on the busiest street in Twin Falls. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital but passed away a few days ago from the injuries sustained in the accident.

UPDATE: Vehicle vs Pedestrian Crash in Twin Falls, Idaho

In the update from the Idaho State Police, the report states that the 80-year-old male from Layton, Utah, who was hit by a car while crossing Blue Lakes in Twin Falls, passed away at the hospital on December 1st, at 8:06 AM.

The accident happened near North College Road. The original police report states:

  • A Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 43-year-old male traveling with a 45-year-old female, both from Twin Falls, was traveling southbound on Blue Lakes Blvd.
  • The Chevrolet Impala struck an 80-year-old male pedestrian from Layton, Utah, in the roadway.

The occupants of the Chevy were wearing seatbelts and weren’t injured, and the accident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

The last few months have been dangerous and deadly for many pedestrians in Idaho. Multiple reports have been issued by the Idaho State Police regarding vehicle vs pedestrian accidents.

The ISP reported a fatal vehicle vs pedestrian accident on November 11th, where a young girl was killed. They also reported two vehicle vs pedestrian accidents on the same street, but on different days, in Orofino on November 4th and November 12th.
