Kimberly Road in Twin Falls to Partially Close Until November
Work on Kimberly Road starts on Wednesday, September 4th, and will last through November. Work will pause for the winter and begin again in April. During the lane closures, crews will replace and install more than 1 mile of waterline, valves, meters, and connections along Kimberly Road.
The lane closures will be between Blue Lakes Boulevard and Eastland Drive. This includes the road in front of popular businesses including Shake Out, The Pocket, Quale’s Electronics, Idaho Pizza Company, Janitzio and Skateland, Grover’s, and Ruby Mountain Motors. During the construction, lanes will be diminished and diverted. The news release from the City states:
Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 4, contractors with the City of Twin Falls will close both eastbound lanes on Kimberly Road from Blue Lakes Boulevard to about Eddy Street. Eastbound traffic will be diverted to the center lane. Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane. The lane closures will remain in place through November before pausing during the winter and resuming in April 2025.
During the work, drivers are encouraged to avoid the area or to expect delays if they have to travel the area.
This is a 2-phase project and will increase water capacity to new developments on the east side of Twin Falls.
