Do Idahoans Believe That the Loud Boom Last Week Was a Plane?

Last week, on Thursday evening around 7PM, the entire Magic Valley was rocked by a loud boom that shook homes, scared animals, and stirred up a big pot of speculation. Everyone was left wondering what had caused the sound and many had their theories that they shared on social media.

There were a few comments that I read claiming the sound was exactly what they heard when they were in the military or living on air force bases when a jet causes a sonic boom while others with similar life experience argued that the sound was nothing like a plane. That only added to the confusion.

Some went so far as to say the boom sound was caused by the Snake River Canyon expanding and contracting…that was my favorite. Not too long after the boom, reports came out that it was, in fact, caused by a plane. Media sources reported that and called it a day, but I like a good conspiracy theory and I’ve been thinking about it for almost a week now.

I don’t think it was a plane, and here’s why. We’ve had years of unexplained and mysterious booms in the Magic Valley with no explanation from anyone. Then we got one that was bigger than the rest and all of a sudden the government has an explanation.

The government is in on it and they’ve been experimenting with something alien, and the latest test was a little too big to brush off as nothing, so they sent out a jet to blame it on.

That seems much more like something we’d get from the government. Believe me, I watch a lot of movies and I know how they work when it comes to covering up secret space-related stuff.

Now, if I go missing soon - it means I’m right and the government now has me in some underground bunker prison. But at least the truth is out there.
